Being a suistainable visitor

Here’s how you, as a visitor, can contribute to running a responsible event and inspire innovation and sustainability at ZUCHEX.

How to be sustainable visitor?

1 Only take the materials or brochures you need and will use; consider if digital alternatives are available

2 During the event, make sure to sort your waste and dispose of it in the appropriate recycling bins

3 When leaving the venue, place your badge in the badge recycling bins located at the exit

4 Reduce your carbon footprint by using public transportation for your trips to and from the fair (You can also benefit from our free shuttle service provided from central locations in Istanbul)

06
Be a sustainable exhibitor

You too can become a sustainable exhibitor by making impactful changes during your exhibition. A great first step is to choose boost designs such as reusable stands instead of disposable ones.

We promote our exhibitors to move away from disposable stands and raising awareness about Better Stands that is an Informa wide programme aiming to ensure that all core elements of exhibitor stands are reusable.

Building a greener future with reusable stands
What is reusable stands?

This system-based structure is crafted for repeated use in various formats and sizes, tailored to match the client’s unique style. Clients may choose to own it or rent it from a contractor, depending on their needs.

What is disposable stands?

The structure of a stand is intended for one-time use, resulting in demolition and disposal post-event.

How you can make a difference?

Ensure your contractor utilizes a process that enables repeated use of the stand structure. Mention this in your tender and confirm how they plan to manage the stand after the event.

What are the benefits of building a reusable stand?

  • You can use it multiple times
  • You contribute to sustainability
  • You create an environmentally conscious brand image
  • You achieve long-term cost savings

Better stands for exhibitors!
One medium disposable stand can produce up to four tonnes of waste—nearly ten times more than an average household generates in a year. These single-use structures contribute to environmental harm and pose additional health and safety risks onsite.
